Veg patch 2

While working on the other patch, I was also tidying up the smaller patch. I'd grown vegetables on it last year, so it was less of a task than veg patch 1. Here's what it was like in November:

And after a good deal of rotivating and digging, it now looks like this

I have planted onion sets on the top east (left) side, and the small patch of undug soil on the top west (right) side is where I planted acorns and conkers before Christmas. They aren't coming up - yet!!

Pruning

As usual, I was a bit late getting round to pruning ;-) The first picture is from late February and the rest are mid March.

Just to the right of the step ladder you can see the cherry tree; usually, despite plenty of blossom, we get no cherries - the birds get there first. In 2024, we got one cherry; Teresa and I shared it ;-)
