Useful Websites....

Confraternity of St James

The website of the Confraternity of St James, a registered UK charity which promotes the pilgrim routes to Santiago de Compostela. This is a must visit site for any UK pilgrims: http://www.csj.org.uk

Ultreia

A Swiss site, specifically about the Santiago pilgrimage -"Jakobsweg". Lots of info and lots of links; there used to be links to "Pilgerberichte" - pilgrim reports: - but I can't find them anymore :-( https://jakobsweg.ch/en/eu/ch/

Biketrip

The biker travellers forum - a very helpful site - info about places, tech pages, forum. However, it's closed at the moment (May 2007), but check back; Alex writes: "I will probably set up a 'read only' version while I'm traveling and there should be a brand new biketrip.org by early 2008" However, it doesn't seem to have come back (Feb 2024) - shame! http://www.biketrip.org

Trento Bike Pages

"The Trento Bike Pages collect bicycle tour reports, mainly for road bikes, but also mountainbikes, as well as general bicycle touring and travel information, and bicycle club and organization listings. If you plan a bicycle tour, you'll find plenty of tour reports of people who have been there before. The Trento Bike pages got started in 1995 by Andreas Caranti, and have grown from a mailing list for the Italian Trento area to cover all of Europe, and now also Africa, the Americas, Asia, and Australia. The Trento Bike Pages got a new maintainer in 2005. They are kept alive by people submitting tour reports." http://www.trentobike.org/index.html

Useful Maps....
